Dancing Around the World at the ACES Spring Showcase 2025
As both a photographer and an ACES mom, I had the incredible opportunity to document this year’s unforgettable ACES Spring Showcase 2025. The theme, Dance Around the World, celebrated movement, music, and culture—while also honoring the beloved Ms. Arguelles in her final showcase with ACES.
Celebrating a Remarkable Teacher
To begin with, it’s important to recognize Ms. Arguelles and the legacy she leaves behind. For years, she has been the creative force behind the ACES dance program—guiding her students with passion, care, and vision. The ACES Spring Showcase 2025 served not only as a performance but also as a beautiful tribute to her dedication and the lasting impression she’s made on so many lives.
Traveling the World Through Dance
Each performance transported the audience to a different part of the globe. From the powerful Queen of the Nile to the spirited Let’s Samba, every routine reflected a unique culture and energy. Additionally, dances like Bonjour, Fan Dance, and Paso Doble showcased the students’ versatility and technique.
Even more touching were the emotional pieces like I Love You, I’m Sorry and Don’t Forget, which reflected the deep connection between Ms. Arguelles and her students. These moments reminded everyone in the audience that dance is not just movement—it’s storytelling.
A Magical Finale
As the night continued, the showcase built up to a full Mary Poppins production as the grand finale. With colorful performances like Flying Nannies, Spoonful of Sugar, Chim Chim Cheree, and Step in Time, the dancers brought joy, charm, and magic to the stage. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible show.
A Surprise That Touched Everyone
One of the most heartwarming moments came when Ms. Arguelles invited alumni dancers to be part of her final showcase. Over a dozen former students returned to perform—proving just how deeply they respect and admire her. This surprise reunion was a testament to the kind of teacher she is and the bonds she has created over the years.

In conclusion, the ACES Spring Showcase 2025 was more than a school performance. It was a celebration of talent, community, and gratitude. Every detail—from the choreography and music to the lighting and costumes—reflected Ms. Arguelles’ heart and artistic vision.
