Haulover Beach is one of my favorite spots to shoot maternity sessions. On east coast beaches, capturing the sunset can be challenging due to the lack of unobstructed views. However, Haulover Beach offers a clear, open horizon that provides the perfect vantage point to enjoy and photograph stunning sunsets.
I prefer to meet my clients directly on the beach to begin our session with shots that face the ocean. This approach allows us to capture the natural beauty of the expansive seascape and create a serene, picturesque backdrop. Starting with these ocean-facing shots helps set a tranquil tone for the session and ensures that the vast, open horizon enhances the overall composition of the photos.
After wrapping up our beachside shots with the ocean as the backdrop, we then transition to the Intracoastal area. Here, we position ourselves facing west to capture stunning images as the sun sets, creating a beautiful and dramatic effect in the photos.
This Haulover Beach maternity session was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed ideal weather conditions, and both mom and dad were a delight to work with, making the experience even more enjoyable.
