Can dogs eat peanut butter? YES THEY CAN !
This is Buffy and peanut butter is the way to her heart!
Five years ago, my parents welcomed a sweet rescue dog into their home from the Jacksonville Humane Society. They had recently lost their beloved boxer and felt an undeniable emptiness without a dog to share their lives. The house felt too quiet. The absence of a wagging tail at the door was a daily reminder of their loss. So, when they decided to visit the shelter, they hoped to find a dog who needed them as much as they needed her. That’s when they met her.
When she arrived, it was clear she had been through a lot. Her body showed signs of a recent litter. Faint scars on her face hinted at a past we could only imagine. Despite her mysterious and difficult beginnings, she settled into our lives with an incredible capacity for love and resilience.
Her personality is as warm as her heart. She is incredibly sweet and has a special love for belly rubs. Moreover, meeting new people is one of her favorite things. On her walks, she gets so excited that she simply can’t move on without saying hello to every person she meets. Unfortunately, some people judge her because of the stigma surrounding her breed. However, once they meet her, they quickly realize what a sweetheart she truly is.
DOGS and PEANUT BUTTER looks like this!

The beauty of rescue dogs lies in their ability to love unconditionally despite their past hardships. It’s as if they know they’ve been given a second chance. They show their gratitude in the purest ways—through tail wags, snuggles, and endless affection. When a rescue dog finds a family to love them, they seem to cherish every moment. Even the smallest gestures of kindness feel special to them.
Rescue dogs like her often come with unknown stories. However, what matters most is the chapter they get to start when they find a forever home. They don’t dwell on their past. Instead, they embrace the love they are given and return it tenfold.
