A home maternity session also offers flexibility and privacy that some expectant mothers prefer, especially if they want to capture more intimate moments, such as boudoir-style shots. Additionally, the home’s unique lighting and cozy, lived-in feel can bring a warmth to the photos that can’t always be recreated in a studio setting. For many, documenting this special time in a place they love makes the session feel more connected and authentic.
Milk bath maternity sessions have a way of creating a calming and peaceful vibe, and this session was no different. I had the joy of photographing a glowing mom-to-be in this serene, intimate setting. The combination of milky water and soft, floating flowers made the entire experience feel like a dream.
What makes milk bath sessions so special is their simplicity. The white water creates a soft, clean backdrop that really lets the mom-to-be shine. We added some delicate flowers that floated around her, adding just the right touch of nature. The result? A beautifully soft and dreamy look that felt effortless.
She chose a flowing white gown that perfectly complemented the serene vibe. As she relaxed in the water, the gown floated gently around her, making the photos even more graceful. Throughout the session, she radiated calmness, and her deep connection to her baby was evident in every photo.
After we wrapped up the milk bath portion of the home maternity session, we shifted gears and moved on to some studio-style photos. This change allowed us to capture a different side of the mom-to-be, focusing on more classic, polished portraits. In the studio setting, we opted for some silhouette shots and a little boudoir, using soft lighting to create a subtle, intimate mood while keeping the focus entirely on her.
I so adore how these photos came out!
