Capturing Love: A Valentine’s Day Shoot for Broward Shelter Dogs
This Valentine’s Day, I visited Broward Animal Care to photograph adoptable shelter dogs waiting for their forever homes. Many of these dogs have been patiently waiting for nearly a year. To make the photos stand out, I used a pink backdrop to match the season of love.
Each of the shelter dogs had a unique personality. Some, motivated by chicken treats, sat attentively and posed with enthusiasm. Just one whiff of the treats had their tails wagging and eyes focused on the camera. Others were full of energy, zipping around the set and keeping me on my toes. Their playful antics brought smiles and added fun to the session.
A few of the shelter dogs were calm and quiet. They seemed to know exactly what to do, sitting patiently and following commands. Their gentle demeanor and expressive eyes made it easy to capture their lovable nature.
Photographing these dogs reminded me of how much love they have to offer. Each photo highlights their charm and individuality, showing potential adopters the incredible companions they could be.
